About Us

St. Vincent de Paul/ Amman- Mar Mansour Society, founded in 1957, is officially registered as a charitable society. Our Children’s Home opened its doors in 1974.

St. Vincent de Paul/ Amman- Mar Mansour Society is committed to provide services to the underprivileged, regardless of ethnic, religious or sectarian backgrounds.

Our Children’s Home, which is run by the Franciscan Sisters of the Immaculate Heart of Mary, is home to 25 less fortunate children between the ages of 4 and 18, where they are provided with a good education and a safe environment in which they can grow into confident and self-assured individuals. Since its establishment in 1974, our home has embraced more than 600 children.

In addition to our Children’s Home, and through its Student Assistance Fund, on annual basis, our society covers tuition fees for around 20 needy university students who show academic promise.

Mar Mansour Society also lends its monthly support to more than 80 needy families, providing them with food and medicines.
